Lastly, and probably most importantly, the recipes just aren't something I'll make: either the ingredients or the combination of ingredients are - to me - weird. In the first place this cookbook is small both in size (number of pages and dimensions) and number of recipes. Secondly, in order for the book to lie open to read a recipe, you have to "break" the spine, which damages the book and makes it susceptible to coming apart. For example: strawberry shortcake with elderberry cream; pistachio, lemon, and cornmeal cake with rosewater syrup; apricot frangipane cake; apricot, fig, and mixed seed bites. So I'm disappointed.
